Why Wall Street needs more women
From CBS News, yet more evidence that women are better at investing than men: "A recent report showed that while all hedge funds had an annual return of almost 6 percent, hedge funds run by women did better with a return of 9 percent. And during the downturn last year, while all funds dropped 19 percent, funds run by women went down just below 10 percent." That means that during the worst of this downturn, women fund managers performed nearly twice as well as their male counterparts. Why?

Overall, women have a better investment style then men, earning 1.4% more than men according to a recent study.

How small investors get screwed
As I write this on February 24, 2009, the DOW is sitting at a 12-year low of 7,200 and predictions from the brainiacs on CNBC are that it will go into a free-fall to 6,000 before it's all said and done. But I'm not selling, I'm buying - slowly, a little bit at time. Because if I've learned anything, it's that none of these talking heads knows for sure what's going to happen. So I use a different barometer to make investment decisions. My barometer leads me to believe gold must be nearing a bubble, and stocks must be nearing their lows.
